Dear Dan,

Thanks so much for writing, and the idea that you have for a conversational Spanish ministry sounds excellent. We appreciate your prayers and look forward to hearing how the ministry goes.

Bendiciones,
Jonathan

Hello and Warmest Greetings in Christ our Savior from Eugene, Oregon

My name is Dan Collins. I am a former missionary to both Spain and Mexico.

My reason for writing today is the tell you about a Conversational Spanish class ministry at our Church (First Baptist of Eugene) which we are starting tomorrow. (1/8/11) The class focuses on primarily the development of conversational skills in Spanish, using TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) which is a method I use in classes I also teach at our local community college.

Anyway, as part of our class, we take some time to pray for missionary work in different Spanish speaking countries around the World, praying specifically for a ministry in a different country every week. With this first week being Colombia, your ministry was the first that came up when I googled "missionary work in Colombia." So this message is just to share with you that we will be praying especially for you tomorrow in our first session of the class.

I have also "liked" you on Facebook. Please keep us posted via that avenue about what's happening with you.
